PT Cruiser Convertible offers comfortable seating for 4 adults, with a standard 50/50-split rear seat that folds and tumbles for maximum cargo carrying flexibility. GT model has leather-faced seats heated for the driver and front passenger (optional on Touring).

The standard AM//FM/CD with MP3 capability stereo system on PT Cruiser features six premium speakers plus an input jack on the face to hook up your personal MP3 player. Available is a thumping 368-watt Boston Acoustics® Audio Group with 6 premium Boston Acoustics speakers plus a subwoofer for music you can feel.

The PT Cruiser instrument panel has a centre stack with a Satin Silver bezel (Mini-Carbon on GT model) and an analogue clock. The gauges have silver faces and cool white night lighting, and major controls are positioned to be user-friendly. At the base of the stack is a cell phone size opening plus beverage holders.

For carrying life’s little necessities, PT Cruiser Convertible features front door map pockets, a large locking glovebox, a driver’s seat rear map pocket, a centre console with a sliding armrest, 12-volt power outlet and covered storage space. You’ll also find 5 handy cup holders.

The standard Electronic Vehicle Information Centre (EVIC) uses a reconfigurable display in the instrument cluster to inform the driver about outside temperature, fuel economy, distance to empty, audio settings, elapsed time and even compass heading.

For 2007, PT Cruiser Convertible features subtle décor touches that enhance the most recognizable vehicle on the road. Up front, the fascia displays horizontal chrome accents on the grille and there are round fog lamps and scalloped headlamp assemblies. 16-inch or 17-inch wheels add a bright touch to both models.

The PT Cruiser Convertible power top is made from premium cloth and features a glass rear window with electric defroster for year-round comfort. Operation is simple and easy – unlock the top with one central handle and press a button. A matching boot is easily installed with two snaps. And a clever smart glass feature helps provide weatherproof sealing between the windows and the convertible top.

The PT Cruiser Convertible colour keyed sport bar not only adds style, it adds to the structural rigidity and aids in windflow management for a quieter ride by dramatically reducing buffeting. It also includes overhead lights for your convenience.

PT Cruiser Convertible gives you room in the trunk for carrying gear, and the articulated hinge mechanism is designed for easy, practical access.

You'll savour the brisk performance of the PT Cruiser Touring Convertible's standard 150-horsepower 2.4L DOHC 4-cylinder engine with its excellent performance and efficiency. A smooth shifting 5-speed manual transmission is standard on PT Cruiser Touring. A four-speed automatic transmission with adaptive controls is optional with the standard 150 hp engine and is included with the 180 hp Turbo power unit. GT Convertible uses a Heavy-Duty Getrag 5-speed manual transmission with ratios spaced for optimum performance, or an optional 4-speed automatic with Auto/Stick™ for clutchless manual driver control or full automatic operation.

Low-Speed Traction Control is standard on GT and available on the Touring model (with ABS and Turbo engine) to give added confidence in poor driving conditions. It can help prevent the front wheels from spinning when accelerating from rest on slippery surfaces. A dash mounted switch allows driver control.

PT Cruiser Convertible front suspension is a MacPherson strut design that features a high-roll centre to help reduce body lean. At the rear, a twist-beam axle with Watt’s linkage keeps suspension movement in line and helps eliminate hops and skips. It also maximizes cargo space.

PT Cruiser Convertible features advanced multistage driver and front passenger air bags with Occupant Classification System that allows them to deploy with a force appropriate to the occupants. Side air bags are standard on GT model, available on Touring.

Front seat belts feature height-adjustable turning loops attached to the sport bar and travelling inboard buckles for added comfort. Three-point safety belts are provided for rear seat occupants.

PT Cruiser Convertible uses high strength steel and differential thickness panels, longitudinal hydroformed tubular sill reinforcements and tunnel reinforcements for a high level of structural rigidity. Two transverse beams that tie into the floorpan and the hydroformed sport bar help increase body stiffness and stability.

Standard front disc/rear drum system with large front rotors contributes to easy stopping. Four-wheel performance disc brakes with anti-lock (ABS) and Low-Speed Traction Control, standard on GT model, available on Touring, offer extra reassurance and control in slippery conditions.
